Meet the Team:
PIPPA MOORE

Meet the Team at Chef Works series gives that behind-the-scenes insight to the inner-workings and roles of our fantastic and hard-working dedicated team at our international company

Third up in our series is Pippa Moore from our Customer Service & Sales Support team based out of our Leeds office, in the UK. Say hello, Pippa…

How long have you worked at Chef Works?

16 months.

Describe your job in one sentence…

Assisting customers with the selection and ordering of Chef Works products, whilst providing internal sales and marketing support to the Chef Works team.

Best thing about working in the hospitality industry?

The variety of people you get to talk to and interact with on a daily basis is amazing.

And the worst?

From time-to-time Chefs can be a little, erm… last minute when it comes to uniforms as they are rightly focused on the food, meaning we need to make magic to get the product where it needs to be.

Describe a day in your life at Chef Works International…

From answering telephone calls, answering emails, packing orders, dressing mannequins, prepping our boardroom for meetings and collating items for trade shows, there truly is never a dull moment.

Favourite item from the Chef Works collection?

Our Berkeley Bib Apron in Indigo Blue. I love the versatility and the deep red braces.

Favourite restaurant, café, bar?

The Waterside Restaurant in Shipley, UK, because they really care about the sourcing of their ingredients as well as their customers. It’s just one of those place where every bite is packed with flavour.

FROM LEFT TO RIGHT:
Autumn Wild Mushroom Risotto with shaved truffle & goats cheese),
Bubble & Squeak Cake with local duck egg, Girolles & crispy Sage), delicious Monkfish with a salsa verde.

Lifelong ambition?

To make the world a better place in my own small way.

Weirdest job you ever had?

As part of a previous job, I had to source and order hooded parkas for the owners’ dogs.

Best ever restaurant experience?

Le Chateau de Montreuil, Montreuil Sur Mer in France. The food was amazing, the staff were wonderful and the atmosphere was just perfect.

What makes you get up in the morning?

Usually my cat, pawing at my face.

Your best achievement at Chef Works?

Managing to get one of my first few orders out to a chef in time for his restaurant opening, within a tiny time frame. We were both delighted!

And finally, what would you choose as your death row meal?

Traditional English chips served with a side order of chips, followed by chips for dessert.
